Full expression of design depends on the species of wood selected and the cutting method used to extract the natural beauty. Logs used for the production of the decorative face veneers are selected according to size, growth rate, and visual characteristics. Factors such as color, figure, and natural character marks which reappear in the veneer are very important considerations. Veneer cutting or slicing takes place on a vertical or horizontal slicer, a half-round or stay-log slicer, or a full rotary machine. The cutting method used will be determined by the species and the desired grain characteristics. Veneers are manufactured to the many thickness and moisture content standards preferred throughout the world in accordance with the end and the customer's special requirements. Most veneer is sold as a result of personal inspection. Color, grain patterns, figure, length, width, and total footage are points fully examined prior to acceptance. Price structures are determined as a result of the above mentioned physical characteristics, special handling requirements, and normal supply and demand forces in the market place.

Ready to splice veneer is also available, veneer is sliced and chapping is done and after guillotine cut, bundles are made ready with proper marking and book matching panel length & door length sizes are available which can be used for making sheets of any diliered width. There will be no used for further cutting of ready to spice veneer as the side edges are already fine cut in guillotine machine.

Teak Veneer Layons



Ashutosh Industries supplies Layons in a variety of species ranging from Burmese Teak to American and European Hardwoods like Maple, Beech, Ash etc. We manufacture Quarter sliced and flat/plain sliced (crown) Spliced Layons. Spliced layons/sheets i.e., flexible veneer sheets are used for laminating on Plywood, MDF, Particle board etc. Layons can be Edge glue or Kuper Thread spliced.
